We planned to stay at Desire RM for a week, but transferred to Desire Pearl after 3 nights. We met lovely couples, average age mid to late 50s, no expectations, fabulous hot tub with plenty of room, a multitude of activities and dancing day and night with Kia, Mia, Mike, Vincente, and Charliewe didnt want to leave!We found accommodations, food and personalized service quality better at Pearl. It is a U-shaped room with some sheer curtains that hang from the ceiling should you choose to use them (there most of the time). This was our first ever visit to this type of resort, but what an experience! They were so hungry for some crazy fun and couldnt find it at Pearl. Each time we have visited we are blown away by the incredible people we have met and formed lasting friendships. Having a big lifestyle crowd at both resorts, they found that they enjoyed the amenities of Pearl much more. At RM you can walk all the way around the bar since the DJ booth is off to the side. Be prepared to be at least close to other couples that come in, which can be a nice ice-breaker. In that sense Riviera Maya is better conceived. Most folks were nude by the pool. It doesn't matter if you are a millionaire or if you saved every penny to make the trip to Desire. Desire is more open then pearl but as far as hendo goes I have never been there but I talked to some ppl who have been to both most preferred desire and as far as a orgy goes that's not a problem you just have to mingle with everyone especially if a large group is there together they always have group play. As we explored our options for our honeymoon, many of our friends advised us to go to Desire RM. The disco is beautiful. Everyone we talked to said it was an off week. They should consider the system of reservations if they know that the peak hour is between 20-21. There are differences. The food, accommodation and entertainment were not great.
